With this Privacy Statement, First Sight wishes to inform you of any processing activities with regard to this data and of your rights. By using our website, you explicitly consent to any processing activities by First Sight.

This Privacy Statement may be subject to adjustments and changes in the future. It is your responsibility to consult this document regularly. Any substantial changes will always be clearly communicated on the First Sight platform.

We use a partner to operate the website. This is HOSTINGER operations, UAB, for hosting, website and database security, and website and database maintenance. HOSTINGER operations, UAB processes your data securely, in accordance with our instructions, and under our supervision. If necessary, we also arrange for a data processing agreement to be concluded.

3. What personal data is processed?

First Sight undertakes to process only data that is relevant and necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. The following categories of personal data may be processed by First Sight:

4. For what purposes is my personal data used?

First Sight collects personal data (including your first name, surname, gender, email address, phone number, photo, preferred language, company function, communication preferences, and billing address) to provide you with a secure, optimal, and personalized user experience. The collection of personal data will expand as you use the website and our online services more intensively.

Data processing is essential for the operation of the website and its associated services. Processing is carried out solely for the following specific purposes:

Providing you access to your user profile.
Providing and improving general and personalized services; including billing purposes, providing you with information, newsletters, and offers that are useful and/or necessary for you, obtaining and processing user reviews, and providing support.
Providing and improving the products provided; personalized and specific products based on the information and data provided. Detecting and protecting against fraud, errors, and/or criminal behavior.

This data is always collected with the consent of the individuals involved and on a contractual basis (membership agreement).

The User always provides their own personal data to First Sight and can thus exercise a certain degree of control. If certain data is incomplete or appears incorrect, First Sight reserves the right to temporarily or permanently postpone certain expected actions.

6. What are my rights?

6.1. Guarantee of lawful and secure processing of personal data

First Sight always processes your personal data fairly and lawfully. This includes the following guarantees:

  • Personal data will only be processed in accordance with the described and legitimate purposes of this Privacy Statement.
  • Personal data will only be processed to the extent sufficient, relevant, and not excessive.
  • Personal data will only be retained for as long as necessary to achieve the described and legitimate purposes in this Privacy Statement.

The necessary technical and security measures have been taken to minimize the risks of unauthorized access to or processing of personal data. In the event of a breach of its IT systems, First Sight will immediately take all possible measures to minimize the damage.

6.2. Right to access/rectify/delete your personal data

Upon proof of your identity as a User, you have the right to obtain confirmation from First Sight as to whether or not your personal data is being processed. When First Sight processes your data, you also have the right to access the collected personal data. If you wish to exercise your right of access, First Sight will comply within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be submitted by registered mail or by sending an email to info@amm-consultancy.be.

Inaccurate or incomplete personal data can always be corrected. It is primarily up to the User to correct any inaccuracies or omissions themselves. You can exercise your right to rectification by providing First Sight with a supplementary statement. First Sight will comply with this request within one (1) month of receiving the supplementary statement.

You also have the right to have your personal data erased by us without undue delay. You can only invoke this right to be forgotten in the following cases:

  • When the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected;
  • When the personal data was collected based on consent and there is no other legal ground for processing;
  • When you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing;
  • When the personal data has been processed unlawfully;
  • When the personal data must be erased in accordance with a legal obligation.

First Sight assesses whether one of the aforementioned cases applies.

6.3. Right to restrict/object to the processing of your personal data

The User has the right to obtain a restriction of the processing of their personal data:

During the period First Sight needs to verify the accuracy of the personal data, in the event of a dispute;
When the data processing is unlawful and the User requests a restriction of processing instead of erasure;
When First Sight no longer needs the User’s personal data for the processing purposes and the User requires the personal data in connection with a legal claim;
During the period First Sight needs to assess the existence of grounds for erasure.
The User also has the right to object to the processing of their personal data at any time. First Sight will then cease processing your personal data, unless First Sight can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing of your personal data that override the User’s right to object.

If the User wishes to exercise these rights, First Sight will comply within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be submitted by registered mail or by sending an email to info@firstsight.be.

6.4. Right to data portability

The User has the right to obtain the personal data provided to First Sight in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Furthermore, the User has the right to transfer this personal data to another controller when the processing of the personal data is based solely on the User’s consent.

If the User wishes to exercise this right, First Sight will comply within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be submitted by registered mail or by sending an email to info@firstsight.be.

6.5. Right to withdraw my consent/right to lodge a complaint

The User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. In addition, the User has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of their personal data by First Sight with the Data Protection Authority.

If the User wishes to exercise this right, First Sight will comply within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be sent by registered mail or by email to info@firstsight.be.
